We first met Kelle at a Las Vegas bridal show many months ago. She was doing most of the wedding planning on her own, so searching for a wedding photographer among other things was a huge task. We tell many of our brides that when it comes to choosing a photographer, it’s important that you feel comfortable working with that person. More importantly, you should be attracted to his or her style and feel a connection to their work.

Most good photographers have a unique style, and while some may attempt to do so, it isn’t easy to imitate a style other than their own. We tend to describe our style as clean, modern and natural. We love happy faces, natural expressions, and real moments. Capturing the raw emotions that make every wedding so special is part of the reason we find photography rewarding. An intimate moment captured between the bride and groom tells a story, and we are always looking to tell a story through our photographs.

We were thrilled to hear that Kelle and Jon loved our natural style and were excited about working with us. We got to know them better during the engagement session and as a result, they both felt more comfortable and relaxed throughout the wedding day.

On the day of the wedding, Kelle was excited, anxious, and emotional. The wedding was beautiful and reminded me of just how important each and every wedding is. It was an honor to be able to share in such a special time in their lives. One of my favorite shots was during the first dance. Kelle and Jon were completely in their own world and having so much fun dancing and being married.

All of their hard work paid off as every detail looked flawless. The venue was gorgeous. We loved the deep purple color scheme, the beautiful centerpieces, and the phenomenal cake. We would like to give a shout out to the following vendors for helping  to bring everything together nicely:

They had a lovely ceremony and reception at Canyon Gate Country Club, incorporating their Chinese heritage to make the wedding unique. As a wedding photographer in Las Vegas, I feel honored to be a part of many culturally diverse celebrations. The distinctive red and pink color scheme is traditional for Chinese weddings and makes for vibrant photographs.

It was wonderful that they trusted me to be creative. Not only were we able to capture all the memories they hoped for, but we also made a few stunning art pieces that captured the beauty of their special day. In order to create these artistic images, the bride and groom planned some extra time just after the reception began to step away and make these beautiful photographs.

Yan had three dresses and changed into a stunning red gown for the reception. The bright color combined with a beautiful setting and professional lighting truly makes these photographs pop.

The ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a warm, sunny day and the bride and groom both looked absolutely stunning as they exchanged vows surrounded by friends and loved ones. They also added their own unique touches like a love letter and wine box ceremony. Except instead of wine, they chose something a little more edgy. Here’s a hint: it was Jack Daniel’s.

The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour and reception. We love that they went green with their wedding favors by giving out miniature potted succulent plants for their guests. They also created their own centerpieces which was another nice personal touch. The best part was that everyone had fun.

Vegas City DJ’s kept the party going and a delicious three-tiered wedding cake was provided by Freed’s Bakery. The gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres were created by Floral 2000. Thanks to Denise Collins from JW Marriott for keeping everything running smoothly. Finally, a big thank you to Valerie and Gerard for sharing their day with me!

The wedding was an intimate celebration with about 60 of their favorite people. The reception took place in the Park Avenue Room at the New York-New York Hotel. It is a lovely and private area for small to medium sized gatherings and every detail was planned perfectly including the Vegas-themed place cards and a performance by Elvis. Marina and Ryan, thank you for sharing your day with us. We’re glad you love the photos!

A few stunning images from Yan and Cheng’s Las Vegas engagement photography session.

We first met Yan and Cheng at Canyon Gate Country Club’s bridal open house earlier this year. Then we ran into them again at the Summerlin Bridal Show. They were looking for a Las Vegas wedding photographer and loved our work, so they scheduled a consultation to chat with us over coffee. Consultations are a great opportunity to meet with a photographer one on one, ask questions, and see more of their work. It’s also a good opportunity to explore product offerings such as albums and decide if you like a photographer’s shooting style.

We knew right away that we wanted to work with these two. They were such a nice couple and were excited about booking us for their October 1, 2011 wedding. Well, the day has arrived and we couldn’t be more excited to share their big day. They are having a beautiful, traditional wedding ceremony at Canyon Gate Country Club. It’s going to be an incredible event so stay tuned for photos from the wedding!

The engagement photos turned out amazing and we’re sure the wedding will be equally remarkable. Dave is an incredibly talented musician so we decided to have some fun during the engagement shoot by incorporating a few shots with his guitar. Twice a year the Bridal Spectacular bridal show is held in Las Vegas to help planning brides find everything they need for their wedding. It’s a great place to find a venue, meet vendors, and get lots of great ideas for your wedding. One of the benefits to attending a bridal show is that you can meet many wonderful professionals in one day. Scheduling appointments and meeting vendors on an individual basis can be quite time consuming. At Bridal Spectacular there is no need to schedule a meeting ahead of time – you can simply drop by and meet the florist or photographer you have been meaning to contact for months. The next show is right around the corner – August 19 and 20, 2011. It will be held at Cashman Center near downtown Las Vegas. Mark your calendars and be prepared to have a great time. The Shade Tree is a non-profit organization that provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis and offers life-changing services promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance.

In celebration of Mother’s Day, the committee organized a cookie decorating event in which over 30 children participated. The kids spent the evening decorating cookies to surprise their moms and they all had a blast doing it. It was so much fun to photograph the event and see the children tap into their creative side.
