We absolutely loved working with this down to earth couple from our very own destination wedding town of Las Vegas, NV.

Jessica and John were married at the beautiful Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas. As a photographer, I always enjoy photographing weddings at Siena because of its picturesque surroundings and Tuscany style architecture. The green fairways at the golf club are surrounded by the towering Spring Mountains. The club also features a gorgeous lake, not to mention a fantastic view of the Las Vegas skyline. It’s a wonderful, intimate setting for a wedding photographer.

When we met Jessica and John at our initial consultation, we hit it off right away and knew we wanted to work with them. Of course we were delighted to hear that they felt the same and they both loved our work. Our natural style of photography was a perfect fit for what they were looking for. They loved that we take a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography, finding opportunities to capture real moments and emotions throughout the wedding day while remaining unobtrusive.

In the months leading up to the wedding, we really enjoyed getting to know the bride and groom through our consultations and during their engagement photo session. The engagement session was filled with fun and quirkiness which I particularly appreciated. Loved their sarcastic sense of humor. It was a blast being able to capture a bit of their personalities through the lens. I knew they were going to be great to work with on the wedding day, and I was right.

According to tradition, rain on your wedding day is considered to be good luck. Rain brings water to dry places and causes crops to flourish, so it is often viewed as being a blessing and sign of good fortune. It marks the start of a new chapter in life, one that should be blessed, blissful, and filled with happiness and good luck.

On the morning of the wedding, we were greeted with a light drizzle which quickly became steady rainfall. As the wedding ceremony was scheduled to take place on the beautiful outdoor lawn in front of Lake Siena, all we could do was wait. Shortly before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, a decision was made to move the ceremony indoors.

Siena’s amazingly talented coordinator Cassy and the wonderful staff at Siena did an incredible job of turning the indoor space into an elegant ceremony site. Our beautiful bride Jessica remained incredibly calm the entire time. In the end everything turned out perfectly. I can’t say enough about working with true professionals.

In addition to the fresh smell of rain, from a photographer’s perspective, the weather blessed us with an awesome dramatic atmosphere. It was a fun challenge to light the outdoor bridal photos in a way that emphasized the rich color of the sky. We ended up creating some stunning bridal portraits that are truly unique.

Jessica and John, thank you for choosing John Morris Photography to capture your beautiful wedding. It was wonderful getting to know you both and having the opportunity to share your day.

All we can say about this Russian couple from Israel is Wow.  They came to Las Vegas with specific ideas about how they wanted their wedding to be and made it happen.  We were honored when they asked us to photograph their wedding, bridal portraits and following reception in the Erotic Suite at the Palm’s Hotel and Casino.  A beautiful couple who were very particular and stylish in their selection of her wedding dress and his suit, they were a photographers dream to work with.  Ksenia was up for just about any ideas we had, so we took advantage of an area near Red Rock Canyon, which had just received a lot of rain, to capture some stunning bridals.  The flowers were in full bloom and the colors were intense, a rare and wonderful time to photograph a couple in the Las Vegas desert.  Ksenia and Yevgehy brought along a few friends as well and we had a great time working with everyone.  We finished the evening with a romantic stroll along the walkways of the Bellagio before returning to their suite at the Palms for champagne and cake.  After visiting Las Vegas, the couple spent their honeymoon touring Yosemite, Zion National Park, and San Francisco before returning to Las Vegas for their flight home.  Best wishes and thank you to Ksenia and Yevgehy.
